Home sick today

I'm home today for my first sick day in, oh, forever I think! Well, there was that day that I had the flu back in 2003... yes, it's been a while. Today Annabel and I both stayed home with pretty nasty colds. I probably could have gone to work and pushed through it, but I just couldn't send Annabel to day care after listening to her cough all night long. She sounded so pitiful! Hopefully a day at home resting will help get us both back to normal.

Just another week

So another week passes... since the last post nothing too big has been going on.... Annabel was lucky enough to see her Grandpa and Nana from Texas on Saturday night, which was pretty great. Then the next day we saw my parents, and went to a baby shower for my good friend Sonia. It was a fun weekend, and here are some pictures to prove it!

I came home this weekend to find Nate and Annabel watching some football... Annabel was just lounging on the bed, looking thoroughly pleased with her day. Looks like we have another football fan!

Confirmation of what we already knew....

For those of you who read faithfully, you may remember me talking about Annabel needing some additional hearing tests, since she failed her newborn screenings. Just wanted to let you know that she finally had the diagnostic test today, and passed on both ears, all frequencies! Nate took her, and said she was the perfect patient and she is coming out of the sedation just fine (though acting a little drunk :)) As she got older, we were confident that she could hear just fine, but we are glad to know for certain.

Halloween & Fall Fun

Hello! We have had a great weekend, and took about 100 pictures (literally). I mean, with a little flower this cute, how can you stop yourself? Nate wasn't a huge fan of this costume, but I thought it was super cute.... she may not thank me later, but I know she brought a smile to a lot of people last Friday night! Here are some more pics of Annabel's first Halloween, which we spent with her best buddy Brooklyn - who was an equally adorable little cat. :)

Saturday night we got dressed up for my grandma's 79th birthday party. Doesn't Annabel look like a big girl?

Sunday Nate's sister Sarah was visiting West Lafayette from Atlanta, so we went up to join the fun. We had the most beautiful day! We spent most of it outside in the back yard, and as you can see everyone had a blast.

Big news!

We have a tooth!!! We felt it first, because it's next to impossible to see - her tongue is always in the way. But I caught a glimpse when she was eating. So cute! Hopefully she'll get back to sleeping all night now.... :)

Feet and Play Dates

Just a quick post because I have pictures to share... First, another Colts picture, but this time it's of Annabel doing her new favorite thing - playing with her feet. She took a little while to find them, but then again she has more than your average amount of belly in her way! :)

Brooklyn came over for a quick play date tonight, and I got some cute pictures of them playing. Annabel is just dying to be able to play with Brooklyn. She was on her belly tonight, and was so determined to go somewhere... unfortunately for her she only managed to scoot backwards into the fireplace. I have a feeling it won't be long, though!

We went home to Lafayette this weekend for my godparents' 40th wedding anniversary... It was nice to celebrate wtih them, and to see my cousins who don't live nearby. 40 years... wow! It's rare to hear about marriages like that these days.
